Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

The Alligator Hill trail has 9 miles of trail that is divided into three loops with views of Lake Michigan and the Glen Lakes. The trails are open all year for hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. The cross country skiing trail loops are designated easy, intermediate and advanced. The Glen Lakes overlook is a one way .8 mile spur. On a clear day, you can see North and South Manitou Islands and Sleeping Bear Point, and sometimes South Fox Island.

An additional trail entrance to the intermediate loop of the Alligator Hill is located on South Forest Haven Drive near Glen Arbor.
