Lake Michigan Beach Park in Empire

Lake Michigan Beach Park is located west of the downtown area of Empire. A pavilion is available on a first come first serve basis. On the north end, there is one of the newest working lighthouses on the Great Lakes. The beach area is actually two beaches, one on South Bar Lake which is enjoyed by youngsters for whom the Lake Michigan waves may be too much, and on the Lake Michigan Beach. There is a pavilion, picnic grills, playground, and restrooms. Parking at the beach is limited and metered, but there is alternative parking available at Johnson Park. 

No overnight camping or sleeping; all animals must be restrained; no loud noise between 11:00 pm and 8:00 am
