Crystal River Access Site

In the northern part of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, near Glen Arbor, the Crystal River flows from Glen Lake to Lake Michigan and can be accessed by canoes, kayaks, and tubes. Low water levels can make canoeing difficult at times. There is one ford required when the river passes under County Road 675/West Crystal View Road. Alternatively from this site you can drop in across the road and kayak a short stretch of the Crystal river into Little Fisher Lake. From there Little Fisher Lake connects to Big Fisher Lake which then connects to Big Glen Lake.
